Finance House Proposed Redevelopment
Thank you for visiting our consultation website. This website is intended to provide an online consultation, to inform you about the emerging proposals by Square and Crescent. The site location is outlined in red on the plan below. The site has now been acquired by Square and Crescent (the Applicant) following consultation undertaken by Queensberry Properties in 2020.
The Applicant is seeking to bring forward a residential and office development at the site. The proposals comprise the change of use, extension, and alteration of the existing office building to form residential accommodation and office / co-working space. It is also proposed to demolish the existing rear extension and erect a new build residential development, with associated active travel routes, open space, play area, car and cycle parking, and other infrastructure.
The proposals will provide much-needed housing in a variety of types and styles to suit a range of needs, in addition to high-quality office / co-working space, with a new, accessible pedestrian and bicycle connection from Learmonth Gardens to Orchard Brae, car and bike parking, and amenity spaces. The initial proposals have been developed in accordance with City of Edinburgh Council policy and guidance.
In accordance with the latest Scottish Government guidance regarding Covid-19 and pre-application consultation, we are holding an online interactive text chat regarding the proposed development. This will be live on the website on Wednesday 13 October from 4pm to 8pm.

The Applicant Team is currently engaging in wide-ranging pre-application discussions with City of Edinburgh Council, and this current online consultation is part of the ongoing pre-application engagement.
